Store Policies

Credit/Debit Payments

All credit or debit card payments will be subject to a 3% card processing fee. We will happily waive the fee and accept payments with check or cash.

Glasses

All glasses orders and repair charges must be paid in full before the patient may receive them. A deposit of 50% of the total order is required to start a glasses order; patients will have 30 days to pay the remaining balance.

All Silhouette Part Replacements and Outsourced Repair Jobs come with a 90-day warranty against normal wear-and-tear (does not cover accidental damage, falls, etc.) from the day your order is available. No warranty given for Screw/Nose Pad Replacements, Emergency Temple Replacements, or Nose Pad Arm modifications on plastic frames. All repair costs are nonrefundable.

All glasses orders have a 120 day period from the day your order is available for remakes to the lenses in the event of doctor’s prescription change or an adjustment of measurements (PD measurement, seg. height for bifocals, etc.).
Patient is required to wear the glasses for 2 weeks before a remake can be issued except if the patient is experiencing headaches, dizziness, nausea, or double-vision.
1st remake is at no charge. 2nd remake will be for 50% of the cost of lenses only.

One-time Non-Adapt remakes from progressives and/or bifocals to single vision are no charge.

Patients wanting an Upgrade remake will be charged the difference of the new lenses and the old lenses.

 

Contacts

Fitting Fees:

$85 - First-time wearer from an outside doctor
$70 - First-time wearer from our doctors
$50 - Experienced wearer needing a refitting

All contact lens fittings include corneal topography, insertion and removal training (first-time wearers), trial contact lenses, and follow-up visits to check progress and make adjustments to the prescription/fit of the contacts. All fitting fees are nonrefundable.

Everyday brands

All contact lens orders must be paid upfront in order to place the order. Patients may pick up their orders from our store or receive them by US Mail. Patient is responsible for all shipping charges. Any contact lens order that remains in our store after 30 days will be returned to the manufacturer, and we will issue a refund to the patient minus a 15% restocking fee.

Rebates from the manufacturer are available for annual (1 year) supplies of contacts from select brands. Ask the optician what is available. Rebates are distributed under the terms and conditions set by the manufacturer.

Custom Soft Lenses and Gas-permeable lenses (rgp)

Patients who are being fitted for custom soft contacts or RGPs must pay the standard fitting fee plus the cost of the first pair of lenses. Patients are required to attend at least one follow-up appointment after the fitting before the prescription can be finalized. RGP wearers must wear the lenses for 2 weeks before a follow-up can be scheduled. All custom contact lens and RGP patients have a 120 day period from the day your order is available to make adjustments to the fit and prescription of their lenses via the follow-up visits.
